How big is the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos? Well, the NFL doesn’t often flex its schedule to adjust for a game, but that is exactly what it did in this case. Originally the primetime game on Sunday night was between the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants. But that game was moved to 4:25 pm ET switching places with the Chiefs and Broncos.
With Kansas City being undefeated and Denver having just one loss this season, this makes it not just a great game to watch, but a very important one.
The Broncos and Chiefs will actually be playing two times in three weeks, facing off in Week 11 and Week 13 so we won’t have to wait long before this one happens again.
Control of the AFC West and home field advantage in the playoffs will be at stake this Sunday night, but for the majority of NFL fans and analysts its about measuring Kansas City and how good this 9-0 start is.
The Chiefs have gone from the No.1 pick in the NFL draft to the last team that remains undefeated. They’ve done so by winning in a variety of ways.
If you look around and browse most NFL power rankings you won’t find Kansas City on top of the majority of them, simply because people are not convinced that they are the best tea,. You’ll usually find Denver, or Seattle as the common choices. Then you factor in other teams like Indianapolis and New Orleans, and you have them somewhere in the top-five.
But all of those aforementioned teams have something that the Chiefs don’t.
A loss.
That’s right, whether or not you believe in Kansas City, one thing you cannot deny is that no team has been able to figure them out just yet, with the Chiefs winning nine games in nine tries. It’s really as simple as that.
Kansas City will be on the road against Denver so it will be a tough win. And even if the Chiefs do not beat the Broncos, we expect this game to be very competitive and perhaps many will come away with a high opinion of this team. If not, they get another shot 14 days later.
